College of Lake County (CLC) is a two-year public community college. Students start out at a CLC because it is affordable and provides opportunities to explore and grow. CLC offers over 50 transfer degree majors. CLC also provides exclusive services to international students, such as:

• An International Student Advisor
• A Peer Mentor Program
• An award-winning English Language Instruction (ELI) program
• A three-day international student orientation and specialized workshops
• A diverse student population but with small class sizes (average class: 20 students)
• Monthly social and cultural activities, and many student clubs to join!

The College of Lake County's Center for International Education has organized several events on campus. International students have camped outside, visited two museums, enjoyed the Chicago Botanical Garden and watched their classmates play competitive sports. The international students started a club on campus and organize their own events. The club has weekly lunches together, visited an apple orchard and even sold sweets at a bakery sale.
